Yes, it is true that Launcher X has been acquired and development is in process! Here are some high level items regarding the acquisition and plans for Launcher X.
-The effective date of the transfer was 05/15/2006 by Get Mobile Solutions (GMS). GMS has entered into an agreement with GoTreoSoftware.com (GTS) where they will manage the marketing and engineering of Launcher X going forward. It will be a week or so before Launcher X is updated on the sites it is now listed so that it is listed with the GTS products. The delay is due to we wanted to have it coincide with a maintenance release and also update the registration methodology built into the product.
-Get Mobile Solutions is a company that was founded by myself and Jeff Gibson, the founder of GoTreo Software. The primary split of responsibilities will be that I will manage sales and marketing while Jeff will take care of the engineering side of things.
-The maintenance release, tentatively to be version 1.2, to be launched in a week or so will address primarily the following items:
~NVFS file system structure
~Incorporation of 5 way navigation support
~Some minor bug fixes to address the LifeDrive, TX and Treo's

Bozidar was a close personal friend of mine and we have ensured Valentina (his daughter) that his legacy will be continued! This is much more than just a business acquisition for me personally.

We have not as of today created a formal outline regarding upgrades though I can assure you that the LauncherXPlanet users will be taken into consideration very highly. The 1.2 maintenance release will be free of course to all past customers. Once the upgrade policy is finalized it will be announced at the GoTreoSoftware.com site and of course here at LauncherXPlanet.com. Trust me when I say we have quite a few items on our plate for the 2.0 release!

Difficult question to answer though (see info above regarding version 1.2) we will do our best to address current users. In reality though it is not likely that devices no longer being sold or sold in smaller numbers (i.e. Sony CLIE's for example) will be specifically addressed as it is of course a business and we must take into account current devices first.
