Zitat
Hi Torsten,
I see what your need is for these symbols, thanks for clarifying.
First a brief explanation what I mean by "not ported over". The Microsoft keyboard
uses certain key scan codes that pertain to the actual key hardware/position in use.
The scan code for the particular key you need isn't included in the Bluetooth
Keyboard. However, each key has several shift states and can accommodate a variety
of output depending on the key combinations it is used with.
While the unshifted or shifted, capslock, alt, and control combinations may be taken
up for certain of these keys, there are other shift states and key combinations for
each that can be added. I'm proposing that using the Microsoft Key Mapping utility,
you could add these symbols on any key where a shift or key combination state
remains. This is the best permanent recommendation I have for your German layout.
=You might also look at the English keyboard layout where these keys are presented
on the basic layout. If you shift your Control Panel > Languages option to English,
it will change the key output you see (and match your QWERTY layout, if your
keyboard hardware layout is English). You may find it to be workable with a little
getting used to. You won't have immediate access to certain other keys, native to
the German keyboard this way, but you can set a key command to alternate between
them quickly on-the-fly for the best of both worlds.
I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Subject: Re: Stowaway Bluetooth KeyboardHi
Unfortunately these symbols "<" and ">" are needed for html editing
purposes.
Well, Insert>Symbols is not really a solution, as well as a remapping
tool, as i would loose another key then.
Same problem with @, \ and other keys.
The green fn key only works with keys in the first row, is that right? I
can produce characters with the first row (but others as displayed on
the keyboard), but the green fn does not work with other rows...??Do you have a practical hint for me?

As such, you are seeing the difference between the Pocket PC keys (keytop
characters) using the PPC driver, and Windows' keyboard layout which is provided
from Windows.

>>>You would want to use the keys similar to how you would use them on a standard

Here is one from Microsoft that should help also, keeping in mind that some of
the keys will shift since the keyboard is 4 rows as opposed to 5:

-

by the way hat stowaway nen wirklich angenehmen / raschen / fachlich guten support.
